Scott’s fortunes waned after the death of the company founder Alfred Scott and a receiver was appointed in 1931 when the Yorkshire factory hit serious financial problems.
Roger joined the Kings Norton Motorcycle Club in the early 60’s. around 1964 I think. I first met him outside the Hazlewell Pub in Kings Norton one Friday night in early 1965 hoping to join the same club.
This is my go-to machine when I visit The National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. It’s as if I’m paying homage to the brilliant absurdity of British quirkiness. Not only beautiful in design but a true success mechanically.
