Suzuki to restore more Sheene bikes
Three more of Barry Sheene’s race bikes have arrived at Suzuki GB from the family home in Australia, and two of them will be restored at this year’s Motorcycle Live, which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC from 16-24 November.

Sheene’s last Grand Prix bike – a DAF Trucks-sponsored 1984 Harris-framed XR45 RG500 – arrived alongside a 1978 XR27 RG500 and a special XR23A 652cc big bore RG500, raced in the Trans Atlantic series and F1 Championship in 1979.
Indian Motorcycle honours Scout’s 100 year legacy
Indian Motorcycle, America’s first motorcycle company, announced its 2020 Scout lineup, highlighted by two new models that pay homage to the 100-year legacy of the iconic Indian Scout – the Scout Bobber Twenty and the limited edition Scout 100th Anniversary. Also for 2020, Indian Motorcycle is introducing a selection of new Scout touring accessories, including a colour-matched Quick Release Fairing with a two-inch Windshield and weather resistant Semi-Rigid Quick Release Saddlebags.
Indian FTR 1200 sets UK speed records and makes World Wheelie Championship debut

Indian Motorcycle, officially entered the World Wheelie Championships at ELVINGTON UK on 18 August, 2019 with experienced American protagonist, Cecil ‘Bubba’ Myers, also setting two UK production bike speed records on the FTR1200’s debut.
A tentative first outing at the Straightliners-run event that sees an eclectic mix of machines enter, including turbo charged machines that reach over 210mph on the back wheel, Bubba’s FTR 1200S was simply a production machine with the rear number plate hanger removed.
With a limited number of runs, due to other commitments for Bubba on his regular turbo-charged machine, the 2018 world champion set a fastest 1 Mile Wheelie at 131.137mph on the FTR1200S, before going on to set two UK speed records in the process, recording a speed of 145.543mph to set the ‘Flying Start ¼ mile’ record and 145.613mph to secure the ‘Standing Start Mile’ record too – both in the production V-Twin up to 1350cc category.
