It was great to be back at the show this year. With the doom and gloom of the economy at the moment, I was delighted to see so many people at the show. It seems nothing can dampen the spirit of the biking community which was obvious by the amount of smiling faces.
I was chatting to several people at the recent Staffordshire Bike Show when this unassuming guy sidled up to the table. When there was a break in conversation he asked, “Well, what do you do?” I explained that we were story tellers and were more passionate about people than just writing bike reviews.
Last night’s announcement of Queen Elizabeth’s passing was received with sadness and disbelief. Although it would be inevitable at some stage, the sudden deterioration in her health took us all by surprise; just 48 hours before still performing her duties to welcome the new Prime Minister.
