Ducati Lenovo Team at Mugello

Ducati Roars Home

Speed. Style. Strategy. And a whole lot of Italian soul. That’s what awaits this weekend as the MotoGP circus rolls into Tuscany for the 2025 Brembo Grand Prix of Italy. And where better than Mugello – Ducati’s spiritual backyard – to showcase the passion, performance, and prestige of the red beasts from Bologna?

This is more than just Round 9 of the season. It’s Mugello week – sacred ground for Ducatisti and the faithful followers of MotoGP. With Ducati Lenovo Team leading the charge in every championship category, the stakes are sky-high. The spotlight is blinding. And the home turf advantage? As red-hot as the Desmosedici’s exhaust.

A Legacy of Dominance

Let’s talk history. Ducati has owned Mugello in recent years. Three straight wins for Francesco Bagnaia (‘22, ‘23, and ‘24), plus prior victories by Petrucci, Lorenzo, and Dovizioso, show Mugello isn’t just a race – it’s a red procession.

Now, with Marc Márquez joining the party in Ducati red for the first time at Mugello, all eyes are on the multiple-time world champ. He’s fresh off a flawless Aragón weekend and testing strong. And while he hasn’t tasted victory at Mugello since 2014, don't count out the master tactician just yet. The stage is set for something special.

Bagnaia & Márquez: The Knights of Ducati

Pecco Bagnaia is coming in hot. His podium in Aragón showed he’s still very much a title threat – and Mugello could be the perfect place to reignite his championship campaign.

Bagnaia says: “The Mugello crowd is something else. You feel every heartbeat from the grandstands. We’ve been strong here for years, and we’re leaving no stone unturned.”

As for Márquez:

“My first time at Mugello in Ducati red,” Marc grinned. “The straight here suits the Desmosedici perfectly. It’s going to be a busy week, but we’re in good form and ready to fight.”

Let’s not forget – these two are motorcycling’s modern gladiators, and Mugello is their Colosseum.

Livery With a Legacy: The Renaissance Fairing

In true Italian fashion, Ducati’s not just racing – they’re making art at 350km/h.

For Sunday’s race, both Bagnaia and Márquez will unveil a one-off Renaissance-inspired livery. Leonardo da Vinci and Machiavelli will symbolically ride along with the Ducati duo – one representing genius, the other strategy. It’s a homage to Florence, the birthplace of Italy’s intellectual and artistic brilliance, and a celebration of the spirit that drives Ducati: speed with substance.

The Mugello Experience: Where Passion Meets Performance

Want to experience this symphony of speed in person? Head to the Ducati Grandstand at Correntaio – the epicentre of energy, flags, and thunderous support. It's not just a race; it’s a full-sensory overload.

The track action kicks off Friday, June 20 at 10:45am with Free Practice, and from there, it’s a full-throttle build-up to what promises to be another unforgettable Italian Grand Prix.
