Norton Motorcycles to Launch 4 New Models by 2026 | TVS Global Expansion

Norton Set for Big Comeback: Four New Models to Launch in 2026

British motorcycle legend Norton Motorcycles is gearing up for a major revival under the stewardship of TVS Motor Company, with four all-new models set to hit the UK, Indian, and European markets by summer 2026. This marks the most ambitious expansion in Norton’s 126-year history and signals TVS’s serious push into the premium global motorcycle segment.

The star of the lineup will be a flagship 1200cc four-cylinder superbike, a model designed to go head-to-head with the world’s most desirable performance machines. According to TVS Managing Director Sudarshan Venu, these launches represent a pivotal moment for the brand:

“Norton Motorcycles will launch towards the end of FY 2025-26 in the UK, India, and key European markets. Four new models will be available for the summer of 2026.”

TVS acquired Norton back in 2020 for around ₹150 crore, with a clear goal—tap into the growing demand for high-performance, premium motorcycles across Europe and North America. Since then, the company has been quietly re-engineering and redesigning Norton’s lineup, balancing heritage with cutting-edge engineering to bring the legendary marque into the modern era.

A Strategic Step in TVS’ Global Ambition

TVS Motor’s Chairman, Ralf Speth, highlighted that Norton’s relaunch is more than a new product cycle—it’s a key milestone in TVS’s global journey:

"One of the key milestones in our global journey will be the launch of our iconic British brand, Norton, in Q3 FY 2025-26 in the UK, India, and key European markets to further capitalise on the growing demand for premium and desirable mobility brands.”

Currently, Norton offers the Commando 961, V4SV, and V4CR, built at the brand’s state-of-the-art Solihull facility in the UK. However, some future models could see production at TVS’s Hosur plant in India, allowing for more competitive scaling without compromising quality.

A Fresh Era for Norton

Since taking ownership, TVS has invested heavily in design, development, and manufacturing, completing outstanding customer orders for legacy models and re-engineering the Commando and V4 platforms to modern standards. Now, the focus shifts to innovation—creating motorcycles that combine Norton’s storied DNA with the performance and reliability today’s riders demand.

By 2026, six new Norton models are expected, starting with the 1200cc superbike and expanding to new segments aimed at the UK, US, France, Germany, Italy, and India. The strategy is clear: revive a British icon and make it a global contender.

If TVS delivers on its promise, the next two years could redefine Norton as a serious force in the high-performance motorcycle arena—one that blends classic British character with modern engineering precision.
