Hold onto your helmets, TT fans — the 2025 Senior TT is officially happening TONIGHT in a dramatic twist to close out what’s been a wild, weather-plagued race week!
Originally scheduled for a Saturday morning start, the big one — the Senior TT — has been pushed all the way back to 7:00 PM after rain and delays wreaked havoc on the schedule. And get this: it’s been shortened to four laps instead of six. That means less time, more intensity, and absolutely no room for mistakes.
Saturday’s already seen two major delays. First it moved to 12:45… then again to 2:45… and now? We’re looking at a rare evening race, as organisers try to squeeze the most iconic race of the week into the only dry window left.
With more bad weather rolling in from the Irish Sea and Sunday looking like a wash (plus church services limiting road closures), this is it. This is our final shot. The TT organisers confirmed: if it doesn’t run tonight, it won’t run at all.
But here's the good news: a four-lap shootout could be exactly what Dean Harrison needs. The Honda Racing star has already nailed two wins this week and is known for blazing fast starts — which might be the edge he needs now that endurance is less of a factor.
Still, don’t count out the heavy hitters: Davey Todd, who smashed the Superbike TT earlier this week on his BMW, is back for more. And of course, there’s Michael Dunlop — already with FOUR wins under his belt this week — ready to go full throttle for one more.
It’s all coming down to this. The lights, the speed, the legends — all under the Saturday night sky. This is the showdown we’ve been waiting for. LET’S GO!
