Ducati Turns 100 – A Century of Passion, Innovation and Italian Motorcycle Excellence

A Dream That Became a Legend

From a small workshop in Borgo Panigale to the racetracks and roads of the world — Ducati’s story is one of relentless passion, bold innovation, and pure Italian soul.

On July 4th, 1926, three brothers and a dream gave birth to a brand that would forever change the sound, shape and spirit of motorcycling. Now, nearly a century later, Ducati prepares to celebrate 100 years of turning engineering into art and performance into poetry.

A Logo That Tells a Story

To mark this extraordinary milestone, Ducati has unveiled its official Centenary logo — a design born in the beating heart of Borgo Panigale itself. Every detail reflects the DNA of the brand.

The name Ducati remains untouched, bold and timeless, while the number “100” takes centre stage in the familiar typeface found on every Ducati machine. A dynamic curve slices through it, symbolising the lean — that perfect dance between rider and machine, between past, present and the thrilling future ahead.

Below, the Italian tricolore proudly flows, grounding the logo in Ducati’s heritage — a reminder that while its spirit roams the world, its heart will always belong to Bologna.

And then there’s the phrase: “A Century Made of Seconds.”
It’s more than a slogan. It’s a love letter to the racetrack, to the milliseconds that separate glory from defeat, to every heartbeat that’s ever quickened at the sight of that red fairing slicing through a corner. Ducati knows that greatness isn’t made in years — it’s made in moments.

Celebrating in True Ducati Style

The grand celebration will take place at World Ducati Week 2026, from July 3rd to 5th at the legendary Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli.”

And fittingly, on Saturday, July 4th — exactly 100 years to the day since Ducati’s birth — the global Ducatisti family will gather as one. Expect fireworks, historic bikes, modern marvels, legends of the sport, and the unmistakable roar of Desmo engines echoing across the Adriatic coast.

If there’s one place to feel what Ducati means to the world, this will be it.

A Century in Motion

Ducati’s first hundred years aren’t just a record of achievements — they’re a testament to how far passion can take a dream. From the Cucciolo to the Panigale V4 R, from the first spark of an idea in 1926 to the thunder of modern superbikes, Ducati continues to blur the line between performance and emotion.

A hundred years of leaning into corners.
A hundred years of Italian artistry.
A hundred years of turning seconds into legends.

And if the last century is anything to go by, the next one will be utterly breathtaking.
