Bradley Ray one step closer to motorcycle licence with Module One pass
Suzuki’s British Superbike star Bradley Ray is one step closer to obtaining his full motorcycle licence, after completing his Module One test on an SV650.
The BSB race-winner – who has re-signed with the Buildbase Suzuki team for 2019 – spent a day with Shires Motorcycle Training in Peterborough on a restricted SV650, practicing the required manoeuvres for the first part of his test, including U-turns, figures of eight, and avoision tests.
Ray passed his Module One assessment with flying colours and with no faults, before beginning preparations for his Module Two test, which he hopes to sit later this year.
Bradley Ray said when handed his certificate, “Honestly, I was so nervous. I was sat waiting for my test and think I’d have been less nervous lining up at Brands Hatch again. But, to be fair, I was well prepared. I’d done a lot of training with Tom [Dunne – Shires Motorcycles Training] and practiced all the manoeuvres a lot. And the SV was the ideal bike; comfy, upright riding position, loads of steering lock, and a good throttle connection. It’s certainly easier doing a figure of eight on that than my superbike. I did my CBT earlier this year and now I’m one step closer to my licence. Hopefully I can get it done this year and be on the road in 2019.”
